About
Our client, CAM International, facilitates increased profits and competitiveness for North American warehouse distributors and jobbers by providing manufacturers with direct oversight of accountability and equitable remuneration.
Project Highlights
The client wants a program that can be installed on a portable device and then used to scan photographs and store the data along with the appropriate ID. It should be equipped to utilize the retrieval functionality of the rest API to obtain the id, and then save it next to the predefined ID. This program is intended for usage on Android-powered handhelds only.
The Challenges
- Bulk Image Scanning:The client wanted to scan the image from the scanner application. However, identifying the barcode and saving it was challenging.
- API method to provide cam ID:Our team was asked to use existing APIs. It was challenging to identify them and select one from them.
- ERP linking:We needed to fetch the CAM ID from the previously integrated ERP system, which didn't have any documentation, so it wasn't easy to understand the functionality.
- Deep Linking:ERP was a third-party system; it was cumbersome to add our links to that browser for easy routing.
