Our goal was to seamlessly migrate Samsar Resources’ financial data from QuickBooks to Odoo, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. We aimed to implement custom features, resolve duplication issues, and enhance financial management capabilities while maintaining their existing SaaS setup and improving decision-making processes.

Our Solutions
Exported and Imported Manual Data Between QuickBooks and Odoo
We meticulously exported financial data from QuickBooks Online and imported it into Odoo. This manual approach ensured data integrity and allowed careful validation at each step. We utilized our expertise to map fields correctly and maintain the client’s existing SaaS setup throughout the migration process.
Implemented Data Deduplication and Seamless Integration Strategies
We developed a process to append suffixes and merge customers/vendors to address duplicate entries. We imported all other data, including Chart of Accounts and Journal Types, using external IDs for smooth integration. This approach preserved essential information while eliminating redundancies in the migrated dataset.
Created Automated System for Linking Payments with Invoices/Bills
We manually collected payment details against invoices and bills, compiling them into a comprehensive spreadsheet. We created a custom server action to automate the linking process using this data. This solution ensured accurate financial records and streamlined payment tracking within the Odoo system.
Customized COGS Calculations for Manufacturing and Service Costs
We demonstrated the feasibility of meeting the client’s complex COGS requirements. Our solution incorporated Bills of Material, operational service costs, and third-party contract services into the calculation framework. This customized approach provided accurate cost insights for their manufacturing processes within Odoo.
