Project Highlights
The existing system was using Risk Assessment program on MS Excel to perform a risk assessment of different projects. The client approached Brainvire for developing a web-based module to perform a risk assessment of different projects in an easy and versatile manner. The Risk Assessment Program Application is a comprehensive risk management module that allows users to login, create risk templates, perform risk assessments, calculate results, store risk data to be used for statistical weighting on future projects, and perform project risk simulations.
The Challenges
- Traditional approach for risk management through ExcelThe client was using MS Excel to identify, highlight, calculate, and assesses potential risks. Ensuring the risks right from the start of the project, one can eliminate the tangible impact of risk by properly analyzing them. To manage the overall risk management structure, the client was using a traditional approach to MS Excel. It was tough to migrate and understand the whole structure and convert it into defined processes through the web-based module.
- Manual Inputs and Report GenerationIn order to analyze, identify, and address the potential risks, the client had to enter the data manually which was time-consuming and complex. Certainly, it was a challenge to gather the data, collectively enter into the software, and process it in such a manner that can give the appropriate outcome.
- Collective Risk Templates RepositoryTo meet and address the different risk management needs, there is a number of risk management templates available. The templates are designed in a particular manner to simplify various risk factors associated with the particular project. To store and maintain the repository efficiently, there was a need to maintain Risk Template Repository.
- To maintain backup and securityFor any web application, secured architecture and smoother data flow are playing a key role to drive significant growth to the business. As client was managing the risk management through Excel, it was one of the challenges to executing robust secure strategies and data flow into the system.
