The client is a leading conglomerate in the Middle East with headquarter in Kuwait. The client holds a vast portfolio of multiple industries such as manufacturing, automobile, electronics retail, food & beverage, Oil & Gas, shipping, insurance, advertisement and many more. You name the business and it’s in their portfolio. Impressed by Brainvire’s mobility solutions, the client approached us for its mega project of 7 mobile app development for its Automotive group.
Project Highlights
Brainvire developed 5 mobile applications pertaining to the various car brands and 2 for Used Cars and Bumper to Bumper respectively. The applications are multilingual (English and Arabic) and developed for both Android and iOS. Plus, each app is furnished with different attracting themes to fetch more user eyeballs. The applications’ back-ends are integrated with the ERP system to have real-time data.
The mobile apps for various brands are equipped with consistent features such as profile creation, variant car listing, order management, payment integration, social media, and reviews & ratings. But what makes them different are the after sales features such as Showroom Visit Appointment, New Vehicle Availability Check, Test-Drive Booking, Vehicle Reservation, Digital Wallet, Insurance, EMI Calculator and more.
After-sales service application fulfills the requirement of service booking, online payment, booking status check, service history, warranty renewals, QR code for gate pass etc. The pre-owned car sales application helps the client to fulfil the customer’s budgeted requests in the more digitized way and without much of manual intervention.
The Challenges
- ERP integration with App BackendThe company has an ERP system equipped with the car inventory, order management and Service booking management with the financial module. For various things such as car availability check, warranty information, insurance etc., a real-time data is required. Because if a particular car isn’t available in stock and customer places an inquiry for it, chances of customer dissatisfaction increase terrifically. And a wobbling of customer trust is something a company can’t afford.
- Challenge: Arabic Language FormatSince the client is the Middle East based conglomerate, they asked to develop all 7 applications in both English and Arabic language. English one was pretty much simple but the Arabic reading starts from right to left. So it was quite challenging to design and develop apps that way.
- Payment Module and reflection of payment in ERPFirstly, there are many payment gateways to be integrated to provide an ease of payment to the customer. Secondly, for the order processing, all applications were required to be integrated with ERP for payment details.
- Real-Time Service booking in ERP with help of App and track service historyAs per the application requirements, a service booking wasn’t restricted to just app only. Whenever a customer books a service, the same request should reach to ERP for its fulfillment. Also, a customer should be able to track the service history.
